Overview
This page explains how PazalServers (pazalservers.com) uses cookies and similar browser storage. We keep this list limited to what the site actually uses today.
Session cookie (pazal_session)
When you sign in with Steam, we set a session cookie named pazal_session. It stores your authenticated session (Steam ID, display name, avatar and profile URL) in encrypted form.
Properties: httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, path /, maximum age 30 days.
Purpose: keep you signed in across visits. You can end the session by signing out.
This cookie is essential for optional login and is not used for advertising or analytics.
Local storage (pazal_lang)
We store your language preference (en or ro) in browser localStorage under the key pazal_lang when you change language in the site header.
Purpose: remember your UI language on return visits. You can remove it by clearing site data for pazalservers.com in your browser settings.
What we do not use
PazalServers does not use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or Plausible) on this website.
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not run a cookie consent banner for non-essential tracking because we do not deploy such tracking.
Third-party services
When you use optional features, third parties may set their own cookies on their domains:
- Steam (Valve): during OpenID sign-in on steamcommunity.com or related Valve domains.
- Stripe: during VIP checkout on checkout.stripe.com when you complete a payment.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent Steam sign-in from persisting. Blocking localStorage will reset your language preference.
